Frequently Asked Questions
What is a bolt pattern?
A bolt pattern (also called lug pattern or PCD) describes the number of lug holes and the diameter of the imaginary circle they form. For example, 5x114.3 means 5 lug nuts on a 114.3mm circle.
How do I measure my bolt pattern?
For even numbered patterns (4 or 6 lug), measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across. For 5 lug patterns, measure from the center of one hole to the far edge of the hole two positions away.
Can I use a different bolt pattern with adapters?
Yes, wheel adapters can convert one bolt pattern to another. However, they add width to your wheel offset and should be used carefully. Quality adapters from reputable brands are recommended.
Is bolt pattern the same as PCD?
PCD stands for Pitch Circle Diameter, which is the diameter of the circle formed by bolt holes. Bolt pattern includes both the number of bolts and the PCD. For example, 5x114.3 has a PCD of 114.3mm.
